Olá viajantes,
Esta cidade é muito famosa e é a capa do Guia Visual da Folha de São Paulo Itália. Cidade das Torres, localizada na Itália na região da Toscana.com cerca de 7.000 habitantes. Fica próxima de Florença e já foi muito influente, seu declínio se deu após a Peste Negra que foi um grande problema para a Europa no século 14. A cidade é amuralhada e medieval, não podendo circular carros na parte histórica. É fácil de se locomover e não precisa de mais que um dia para ser explorada e isso se faz facilmente a pé. As Torres eram utilizadas para mostrar sentinela, armazenamento e o mais importante Status para a família.
Uma das Torres que ainda está de pé
Logo que passa a porta principal de entrada da cidade, se depara com uma praça, a Piazza della Cisterna que é o centro da cidade e onde tudo funcionava, banco, a cisterna onde as pessoas pegavam água para sobreviver e hoje virou ponto turístico. Tem uma Gelateria muito famosa mundialmente, já ganhou vários prêmios como o melhor Gelato do mundo e é uma minúscula portinha. Mas o Gelato é imperdível. Tem também um museu muito estranho, o Museo Pena di Morte. Posso garantir que é horrível.
As Torres duplas, que podem ser avistadas de longe
A cidade é muito turística e visitada por milhões de pessoas durante o ano. Os turistas em sua maioria apenas passam o dia e retornam para outras cidades maiores da Itália. Uma pena, pois a cidade a noite fica ainda mais linda, com sua iluminação medieval. Depois de Firenze é uma das mais charmosas da Toscana.
Os turistas se encantam e assim que começa a caminhada são surpresas e mais surpresas.
São 72 torres construídas por famílias nobres durante os séculos 12 e 13. A cidade prosperou graças a peregrinações do norte da Europa para Roma. A peste de 1348 e o desvio no caminho dos peregrinos causaram o declínio da cidade. Atualmente apenas 13 estão intactas e uma das torres, a Torre Grossa, está aberta a visitação. A subida até o topo da torre é bem tranquila, com escadaria normal, apenas no último andar para chegar ao topo, ela fica bem íngreme e um pouco escura. Mas, para quem já chegou até lá é tranquilo.

Existe um Museu que é bem estranho. O museu Pena de Morte é uma mostra continua e reconhecido pelo público pela sua forte e clara demonstração dos horrores da Idade Média, nele é enfatizado através de instrumentos reais as cenas de horrores. As cenas falam por si. São bem fortes com um conteúdo que causa impacto aos visitantes. Na verdade é um testemunho do que a natureza humana é possivel de fazer com o próximo.

O Museu Pena de Morte está localizado na:Via San Giovanni 82 e o ingresso são 10 euros. Muito fácil de localizar. A cidade é pequena e não tem erro. a Via San Giovanni é uma das principais que dá acesso a Piazza della Cisterna.
Museu Pena de Morte, dizem que a pessoa ficava presa até morrer por fome, sede, etc. Aff!!!
Não tem como sair da visita a esse museu e não refletir sobre a maldade humana. É mesmo assustador! Os instrumentos são verdadeiros.

Em sua matriz em Siena o banco possui uma coleção de obras de arte e documentos históricos, que coletou durante os seis séculos de existência. Um dos tesouros de San Gimignano nasce nas encostas arenosas e pouco férteis ao redor da cidade, a Vernaccia di San Gimignano, uma uva delicada e aromática que dá origem ao vinho branco de mesmo nome.

Os primeiros registros da produção e comércio do Vernaccia di San Gimignano são muito antigos e datam de 1276. Quando começaram a comercializar este vinho se pode imaginar a importância da fonte de riqueza para a cidade. Ele é famoso mundialmente e apreciado pelos amantes de vinho. Isso já vem de séculos, até Dante Alighieri mencionou em suas obras o delicioso paladar do vinho.

A Piazza del Duomo era um centro religioso e político e onde está a Collegiale e os dois palácios, a Piazza della Cisterna destinava-se a mercados, festivais e torneios. Datada de 1287, trata-se de um tanque de água subterrâneo. Elas ficam bem pertinho uma da outra e é por onde passa a famosa Via Francigena. Em 2019 será a minha “Grande Viagem” fazer a Via Francígena é como o Caminho de Santiago. É muito fácil de ir por conta própria a San Gimignano, os ônibus param bem ao lado da porta principal de entrada da cidade. Muitos turistas fazem o bate e volta vindo de Firenze, Pisa ou Siena, que estão a menos de 60 km destas cidades. Para ir de ônibus via Firenze é só se dirigir para a rodoviária Busitalia Nord que fica ao lado da Estação de trem Santa Maria Novella. Pode comprar diretamente do guichê da rodoviária ou pela internet. Os ônibus saem bem em frente onde se compra os bilhetes e tem uma troca de ônibus em Poggibonsi, que é bem rapidinho. O tempo gasto fica em média 1 hora e 40 minutos. Dê uma olhadinha no site e veja os horários disponíveis. O inverno costuma ser bem rigoroso, portanto nos meses de novembro, dezembro, janeiro e fevereiro é frio, principalmente dezembro e janeiro.
