Hoje vamos falar de Amsterdam, a cidade mais fotogênica do mundo, fácil de conseguir uma boa foto. Um povo bonito, forte, inteligente e culto. Cidade antiga e que passou por vários problemas de guerra, invasões etc. Amesterdão ou Amsterdã é a capital e a cidade mais populosa do Reino dos Países Baixos. Tem cerca de mais de 2 milhões de habitantes na área metropolitana. Os canais de Amsterdam e a Linha de Defesa são considerados Patrimônios Mundiais pela UNESCO.
Ruas de Amsterdam comemorando a festa do Dia do Rei
A cidade é também a capital cultural do país. Cheguei em Amsterdam vindo de Bruxelas de trem, paguei 29 euros. Desci no Schiphol Airport https://www.schiphol.nl/en/ e imediatamente entrei no metrô. Tinha um funcionário na estação orientando as pessoas para embarcarem. Ao embarcar no metrô estranhei as pessoas, estavam todas de algum adereço na cor laranja e a maioria já meio alterado por ingerir bebidas. Desci na estação central de Amsterdam, https://www.gvb.nl/ aí a coisa foi pior. Uma multidão de roupas laranjadas e todo mundo na rua. Perguntei a algumas pessoas o que estava acontecendo e me falaram que era o maior feriado da Holanda. O dia do Rei, dia do aniversário do rei Willem-Alexander. Antes era o dia da Rainha, mas em 2013 ela renunciou em prol de seu filho. A festa não tem nada de desfile, bandas marciais ou coisas deste tipo. Na verdade é uma comemoração nas ruas. Os holandeses saem para as ruas e canais comemorando e neste mesmo dia ocorre em vários locais a Vrijmarkt, quando todo mundo põe as suas bugigangas na calçada e faz um bazar coletivo.

Tem festa e bebedeiras em todo canto e claro a maconha que não pode faltar. Afinal, lá é liberada. Mas, aparentemente a segurança é total. Enfim, valeu a pena participar de um dia tão especial como esse junto aos holandeses. Foi realmente um presente. Antes do dia amanhecer a cidade está totalmente limpa e sem vestígios da festa.

Transporte preferido
Amsterdam tem um excelente sistema de transporte público. Ele funciona até mais ou menos a 1 da manhã. Mas, fica um ônibus que funciona durante a noite toda, mas é mais restrito. Os bilhetes de trem podem ser de curta duração ou não. É meio complicadinho usar, mas a maioria dos pontos turísticos com bom preparo físico e com tempo se pode fazer a pé. Outra boa pedida é o aluguel de bicicleta. As ciclovias são longas e tem por todo lado. Os habitantes usam bastante esse meio de transporte. A cidade é plana e facilita muito o uso das bicicletas. Só não sei como eles conseguem acha-las nos estacionamentos.
Casa da Anne Frank que hoje é um museu
Mesmo em dia de festa os museus funcionam normalmente, mas se puder curta a festa e deixe o museu para o outro dia. Mas, no meu caso estava programado para este dia e lá fomos nós. Valeu muito a pena.
Banheiro público masculino.
Almsterdam não tem uma melhor época do ano para visitá-la, pois ela consegue ser bonita em qualquer época do ano. Mas, uma boa pedida é o mês de abril ou maio. A cidade fica florida e o clima é mais quente. Mas, blusas de frios ainda são necessárias e pode chover também.
Um dos canais de Amsterdam, bicicletas por todo lado e barcos também.
Fiquei hospedada em um hotel muito charmoso, o quarto tinha dois andares, com uma salinha com um ótimo banheiro na parte de baixo e o quarto muito espaçoso na parte de cima. Os hotéis em Amsterdam são com preços bem salgados. Como cheguei de trem e sairia de ônibus para Berlim, optei em ficar num hotel que fosse próximo de alguns pontos turísticos, no caso este é bem pertinho do Museu da Anne Frank, da praça Dam, 800 metros da estação Central e se pode ir a pé para o quarteirão dos museus, do letreiro e do distrito da luz vermelha. Foi uma ótima escolha. O hotel se chama: Morgan e Mees. Fiz a reserva pelo Booking.com e deu tudo certinho. Faça a sua também aqui pelo nosso Blog e nos ajude na divulgação. O letreiro I Amsterdam fica na frente do Rijksmuseum, o museu Van Gogh é o mais famoso, mas não o mais bonito, o Rijksmuseum é simplesmente o mais bonito e de longe o mais visitado. Tem jardins maravilhosos e o melhor é aberto a visitação gratuitamente. Tem uma arquitetura clássica com requintes de modernidade. Só o prédio já vale a pena. A vantagem dos museus estarem próximos um dos outros é muito boa, não é difícil de localizar, pois a cidade é muito bem sinalizada. Mas, é fundamental ter um mapinha ou internet no celular, ajuda muito com o Google maps.
Preços de algumas atrações.
Não se assuste com esses valores. Amsterdam é uma cidade que por si só já é a atração máxima. Se não quiser gastar, basta andar e andar pela cidade. Você ficará satisfeito com certeza.

Depois dos museus fomos a pé para o Distrito da Luz Vermelha. Foi a pior parte da cidade. Uma decepção! Achei até deprimente. Afinal, é muito triste ver aquelas moças se exporem daquela maneira. Mas, estávamos em Amsterdam e não podíamos perder a oportunidade de conhecer este bairro tão famoso. Praticamente ele se reduz a uma avenida em que o canal passa ao meio e o cheiro de maconha é bem intenso. Tem as atrações relacionadas ao bairro e turistas por todo lado. Evite fotografar as moças nas vitrines. Elas não gostam.

Hoje em dia a Praça Dam é um dos locais mais movimentados da cidade. Ela está localizada a 1,3 quilômetros de distância da estação central de trens. Fica bem perto do distrito da luz vermelha. A praça está cheia de bares, restaurantes, cafés e lojinhas e muita gente sentado por lá. Tem a Bijenkorf, uma loja de departamento da Holanda, e o Magna Plaza, um dos únicos shoppings da cidade

Saímos de Amsterdam de ônibus para Berlim, fomos de taxi do hotel para a Sloterdijk, que é a maior da Holanda e funciona como rodoviária também. Pagamos 16 euros.

QUANDO IR EM AMSTERDAM
Uma coisa é certa! qualquer época que você vá provavelmente pegará chuva, não são tão intensas, mas ocorre durante todo o ano. De dezembro a março é muito frio e pode nevar. Mas, se consegue preços mais baixos e poucos turistas e se pode patinar nos canais que na maioria dos anos congelam. O inconveniente é que escurece ás 16:00 horas e ninguém se arrisca a sair na rua.
