 Olá, viajantes,

Los Angeles é a segunda maior cidade dos Estados Unidos e agregada a ela tem outros municípios como: Beverly Hills, Santa Mônica e Hollywood. Cidade moderna e vibrante com pontos turísticos que realmente encanta e proporciona divertimento aos turistas.  Com uma população de quase 4 milhões de habitantes e em sua área metropolitana com mais de 12 mil habitantes. Foi fundada por espanhóis e daí o nome que significa “Os Anjos”, já fez parte do território mexicano, passando a ser dos Estados Unidos através de um tratado em 1848. É um grande centro de negócios internacional, entretenimento, cultura, mídia, moda, ciência, educação e tecnologia. Considerada a “Capital Mundial do Entretenimento”, afinal Hollywood faz parte da cidade. Estar em Los Angeles é como se entrasse nos filmes. Todo mundo já viu algo relacionado a cidade e seus distritos.


Chegamos em Los Angeles e fomos direto para o pier Santa Mônica, estacionamos o carro no estacionamento público da praia, pago e bem caro, 20 dólares. Mas, bem prático. Estávamos no mês de Julho e estava bem quente, a praia lotada de gente, mas não nos atraiu. O sucesso mesmo fica para o por do sol do Pier, que é lindíssimo. O sol fica do lado oposto ao que estamos acostumados nas praias do Brasil. No Pier tem um parque de diversão, muito agitado com vários restaurantes e muitos, muitos turistas. Para quem gosta de praia a mais famosa é a badalada Venice Beach, que possui um calçadão com diversas lojinhas vendendo artesanato local. Lá é possível alugar prancha para surfar ou alugar bicicleta e patins para curtir a paisagem da praia entre rodas.

A cidade fica estrategicamente localizada, na costa do Oceano Pacifico, a cerca de 600 km de São Francisco e a 200 km de San Diego e está em um estado americano rico e com uma cultura própria que é a Califórnia. Os sismos são uma ameça em Los Angeles, mesmo não tendo sofrido tanto quanto São Francisco. A região é propensa a qualquer momento ter um terremoto, assim como todo o estado da Califórnia. Existem várias falhas geológicas  e está próxima das Placa do Pacífico e a Placa Norte Americana, que é uma zona de choque. Mas, quem vai visitar a cidade nem se lembra destes detalhes, com tanta informações e pontos turísticos animados e interessantes para visitar.

Locamos um carro ainda no Brasil pela Rentcars, que é a melhor opção de locação, já que se pode pagar em reais no cartão de crédito, ficando isento de IOF. Pegamos o carro no centro de São Francisco que era bem pertinho do nosso hotel. Los Angeles é muito grande e vários pontos turísticos são longes um do outro, já que  é um aglomerado de distritos. A melhor opção de andar e conhecer a cidade é o carro. De preferência com GPS, para agilizar o deslocamento,  o trânsito em alguns pontos é congestionado.

 

Caso prefira andar de transporte público, saiba que mesmo existindo linha de metrô, rotas de ônibus e ferrovias, o sistema é insuficiente para atender a demanda de passageiros. Por este motivo os moradores preferem se locomover de carro. A cidade possui excelentes vias expressas e autoestradas. Mas mesmo assim no início da manhã e no final da tarde ocorre congestionamentos.

Depois de conhecermos o Pier Santa Mônica e ficarmos por lá algumas horas, nos dirigimos ao nosso hotel, que foi previamente reservado pelo Booking.com. O hotel era o: http://budgetinnhollywoodca.us/   muito bem localizado. Mas, na verdade era um motel e não hotel, sem direito a café da manhã. Mas, era na Sunset Boulevard, a famosa avenida que atravessa a cidade e que tem um lindo por do sol, bem pertinho do Teatro Chinês em Hollywood. Localização melhor não tinha, sem contar que tinha estacionamento gratuito, íamos a pé para a Calçada da Fama e outros pontos interessantes de Hollywood. Deixamos o carro no hotel e nos dirigimos para a Hollywood Boulevard que é a rua de Hollywood onde estão várias das grandes atrações do lugar, como a calçada da fama, o teatro Chinês, o Teatro Dolby, aquele da festa do Oscar, onde tem o tapete vermelho, o Museu de Cera Madame Tussauds, que fica bem do lado de todas estas atrações, com várias personalidades conhecidas mundialmente em bonecos de cera que são réplicas perfeitas. Tem também muitas lojas de souvenir. A noite lembra a Times Square de Nova Iorque em tamanho reduzido, é claro!! Mas, fica toda iluminada com os luminosos e cheia de turistas por todo lado.

Desde os anos 60, a Calçada da Fama  vem acrescentando nomes importantes para o cinema, teatro e musica, são cerca de  3 km de estrelas. Para se ter uma estrela na Calçada da Fama, alem de ser escolhido por uma comissão, o escolhido tem que pagar a estrela. Ao caminhar pela tão famosa Calçada, não tem como não olhar para o chão em busca de vários de seus ídolos e escolher um para sair na foto.

Em Los Angeles, está localizado um dos aeroportos mais movimentados do mundo, o Aeroporto Internacional de Los Angeles, https://www.flylax.com/  ele fica a 28 km da cidade, possui nove terminais de passageiros. Os terminais são servidos por uma rede de ônibus que circula pelos terminais levando os passageiros gratuitamente. A melhor forma de sair do aeroporto é de carro alugado, pois provavelmente irá precisar de um para se locomover na cidade, de táxi ou de shuttles, que devem ser contratadas preferencialmente antes de chegar.

Quem nunca viu  o letreiro de Hollywood??  Talvez seja o atrativo mais conhecido da cidade. Pode ser avistado de vários pontos da cidade, chegar lá perto pode ser um pouco confuso. Por este motivo desistimos e fomos gastar o nosso tempo em outros pontos mais atraentes. O bairro onde está localizado é cheio de montanhas e com muitas curvas para chegar até ele, sem contar o estacionamento que nos falaram que seria muito difícil. Enfim, já tínhamos avistado e resolvemos não ir. Mas, se fizer questão, o endereço é: Rua MulHolland hwy. 

Los Angeles é o tipo de cidade que assim que chega a impressão que passa é que se conhece bem a cidade. Uma vez que os pontos turísticos nos são muito familiares. Depois de passear e se encantar com os pontos turísticos de Hollywood é hora de começar a conhecer a cidade como um todo. Na cidade tem vários parques, mas escolhemos o Parque Universal Studios para conhecermos. Já que nos pareceu ser o mais organizado e famoso. Valeu a pena!

Reserve um dia inteiro, são muitas atrações em um mesmo local. Possuem muitos entretenimentos que agradam a todos os gostos e idades.  Com várias opções de ingressos. Veja o site e escolha a sua opção: https://www.universalstudioshollywood.com/ O Universal Studios Hollywood em Los Angeles é um dos mais antigos estúdios de cinema dos Estados Unidos  Um dos pontos altos da visita é a montanha-russa em 3D, que é chamada de The Simpsons Ride.  Jurassic Park Ride o simulador do Transformers, a  Revenge of the Mummy e o Meu Malvado Favorito são muito procurados pelos turistas. Além desses brinquedos também tem vários shows e ainda  pode se deparar com vários personagens famosos que estão dispostos a tirar fotos e fazer algum gracejo.

Outro passeio muito interessante dentro do Parque é o Studio Tour, onde se pode conhecer os locais onde foram gravados vários filmes. Para se deslocar entre estes pontos de gravações se desloca em uns bondes bem charmosos. O passeio não é muito demorado e pode ser feito por pessoas de todas as idades.

Para quem não quiser entrar nos estúdios uma opção é o Citywalk que é uma área que fica separada e é específica para entretenimento, como lojinhas de produtos relacionados aos filmes e séries da Universal Studios, restaurantes, bares, cafeterias e uma iluminação com letreiros muito bonitos e chamativos.

O Universal Studios  é facilmente acessível, tanto de carro quanto em transporte público. Estacionamentos pagos estão localizados próximos ao ponto do transfer gratuito, que faz o percurso final até o parque. Uma vez na fila para estacionar, não tem como voltar, tem que pagar e ir em frente, como a maioria dos parques. O estacionamento custa em média 15 dólares.

Beverly Hills é como se fosse um condomínio chique daqui do Brasil, mas que é aberto sem muros, onde qualquer pessoa possa passar por suas ruas e admirar suas belas mansões, que em sua maioria são de artistas de cinema. A vegetação é um caso a parte, são lindas e muito bem cuidadas. O Farmer’s Market, que é um mercado muito agradável que possui alem de barracas de alimentação  e lojinhas, parece uma feira coberta brasileira, mas mais sofisticada. Fica ao lado do “the grove” que também é um passeio legal que é um shopping com várias lojas de marcas famosas e com preços bons.  Outro ponto turístico imperdível de Beverly Hills é o Beverly Whilshire, o hotel onde foi gravado o filme Uma Linda Mulher.


A rua mais famosa de Beverly Hills é a Rodeo Drive, mesmo que não vá comprar, pois os preços são exorbitantes, um passeio por lá é obrigatório. Vários filmes já foram filmados por lá.   Para quem quiser fazer compras por preços camaradas,  tem que sair um pouco da cidade e se dirigir a um Outlet. Fomos no Camarillo Outlet, que fica localizado na cidade de Camarillo, é o melhor da região, com 160  lojas. Fica localizado a 81 km  aproximadamente,  1 hora de viagem de Los Angeles. Mas, os preços são muito atraentes e valeu muito a pena.  O outlet é aberto e se estiver chovendo terá este inconveniente. A região de Downtown é excelente para andar a pé e conhecer o Financial District, Arts Districts e Civic Center. Com grande quantidade de arranha-céus e muitas multinacionais instaladas na região. O mercado Grand Central Market é bem antigo, mas foi remodelado e possui várias boas opções de alimentação. O MOCA, que o Museu de Arte Contemporânea e o Walt Disney Concert Hall são locais imperdíveis do centro de Los Angeles. Com prédios lindos e imponentes.

Em Los Angeles existe uma lista imensa de museus. O Museu de História Natural e o California Science Center  são os que atraem mais turistas. O California Sience Center é o tipo de passeio que agrada a todas as idades. Tem um estacionamento enorme que fica na parte inferior do prédio, possui um projeto inovador de museu de ciências, favorecendo maior interatividade com os visitantes. Possui quatro diferentes áreas de exposição. Se for ver todos necessita de um dia de visita. A exposição de aeronaves e equipamentos relacionados ao mundo da aviação é o mais procurado.

As exposições no California Sience Center são de renomes internacionais e de muita qualidade. Los Angeles também tem a sua Chinatown, mas confesso que fiquei bem decepcionada, alem de ser bem pequena não é muito limpa. Existem, as questões culturais que são percebidas ao se caminhar por lá, mas achei  que é um passeio que pode ser dispensado. Quem aprecia comida chinesa é o local! O que mais valeu a visita foi ver os dragões que estão nas proximidades e que é bem bonito. Fica no Downtown de los Angeles.
