Tenho vários posts da nossa linda Itália, Conegliano é mais uma linda cidade medieval que me apaixonei. Para quem gosta de viajar, sempre se é possível adaptar o roteiro e fazer uma boa viagem. Cidade de 36000 habitantes na região do Veneto, parte rica e desenvolvida da Itália. Aqui as pessoas e os costumes são diferentes da Sicília ou de Marche, região que conheço bem. São mais fechadas, mas mesmo assim educadas e prontas a ajudar. São mais altas, brancas e de olhos claros, devido a proximidade com a Áustria e Hungria. Conheci a cidade por acaso. Indo visitar alguns parentes em Susegana, que fica bem próximo, pegamos uma carona até Conegliano para embarcarmos no trem para Verona.

A cidade nos encantou! Assim, resolvemos pernoitarmos na cidade e conhecermos um pouco dessa cidade linda e bem preservada. É mesmo encantadora, tudo muito organizado com prédios e praças perfeitas. Se faz o centro histórico facilmente a pé. É famosa pelo Prosecco da região e vive da agricultura e indústria.
Via XX settembre
Apesar de pequena, ela é a segunda da província por população após a capital. Está situada a meio caminho entre as montanhas e as planícies e é um ponto estratégico para chegar ao Friuli, região histórica do nordeste da Itália, bem pertinho da Áustria. Em torno do século X uma fortaleza foi construída com várias passagens subterrâneas, os cuniculus, dái o nome Conegliano. Pode ser que tenha outro motivo para o nome, isto foi o que me passaram na cidade. Possui vários mosteiros, que foram construídos a séculos passados. Nos anos 1231 a 1316. A cidade foi administrada por um bom tempo por religiosos e civis, daí a quantidade de mosteiros.

Como todo o Veneto, que é a região da Itália onde Conegliano faz parte, a cidade fez parte do domínio de Napoleão e depois dos Austríacos. Estes, construíram toda a infra-estrutura da cidade, inclusive a estrada de ferro. Com isto a vila moveu-se para esta região. Em 1866 finalmente passou a fazer parte do Reino da Itália. Sofreu vários ataques e grandes destruições. Mas, se reergueu e hoje é verdadeiramente uma pequena joia da Região do Veneto.
