Hoje o assunto não é propriamente uma viagem e sim uma dica!! Conexão longa em Nova York!!
O que fazer em uma conexão longa em New York? Nada de perder tempo e ficar horas debruçado em malas ou recostado em cadeiras duras e frias de aeroporto. Já conhecia New York, https://andiamoblogviagens.com.br/new-york-usa/ mas uma oportunidade dessas de ver as novas Torres, não poderia perder. Organizei uma ida ao One World Trade Center. Passeio muito legal! Fácil e prático de ir. O metrô faz a ligação com o aeroporto JFK e não tem erro. Mesmo que seja a sua primeira vez na “capital do mundo”. Assim que passa pela imigração, geralmente a conexão sendo longa, suas malas não poderão ser despachadas. Portanto, o ideal é deixar na Baggage Storage, que fica á direita do controle de passaportes. É como se fosse um quartinho, bem do lado do Hotel Concierge Services, que funciona como um guarda volume. É bem rápido e assim que coloca suas malas, já estará livre para sair. O preço são 6 dólares por 20 horas e só paga quando retornar e pegar as suas malas. Caso você consiga despachar as malas, melhor ainda, menos 6 dólares ou 12 dólares para duas malas. Parte das lojas térreas, são marcas famosas e muito bonitas. O espaço é enorme e tem várias saídas, inclusive direto para o metrô.
Fui pela Delta para Milão https://andiamoblogviagens.com.br/milao-italia/ e a conexão era de cerca de 12 horas. Desci no terminal 4 e iria sair pelo terminal 1, pois de New York a Milão seria pela Alitália. Mas, não é problema, o Airtrain que circula pelos terminais é muito prático e você faz esta troca de terminais gratuitamente. Site da Delta: https://pt.delta.com/ e Alitália: https://www.alitalia.com Assim que deixamos as malas, pegamos o Airtraim até a Jamaica Station, tem um mapa que é distribuído gratuitamente e que explica a linha do trem. Mas dentro dele tem um visor e uma gravação que vai falando claramente sobre os terminais. Antes de embarcar tem funcionários que te orientam também. Site do Airtraim: https://www.panynj.gov/airtrain/ Assim que descer na Jamaica Station, tem as máquinas para comprar os tickets do metro, o Metrocard, 7,50 dólares. Lá é a conexão com o Subway ou metrô de New York. Pegue a linha ‘E’. Entre no metrô em direção ao ponto final que é WTC (World Trade Center). Até chegar você poderá ir observando no painel do metrô as estações. Passa pelo Brooklyn, Queens e várias outras regiões famosas. Não se assuste se ele encher, é normal e não tem problema pois, o ponto de descer é o último. O percurso tem em média 1 hora de duração. Quando descer, olhe para cima e já verá as Torres. Os resgatadores que trabalhavam nos escombros das Torres Gêmeas usaram a Capela para descansar, comer e dormir. O papel que ela desempenhou nos dias seguintes aos atentados a transformaram em uma referência importante. Foi fundada em 1766 e é linda. Elevador que leva ao Observatory, sobe mais rápido os 102 andares que os 9 do meu prédio. Dá um certo desconforto no ouvido, mas é passageiro e assim que pára já volta ao normal.
Comprei antecipadamente os tickets para o One World Observatory, já sabia que a conexão era longa em Nova York, ele está no 102º andar e você também pode visitar os outros andares (100º e 101º), cada um com uma vista de 360 graus para Nova York. Ao chegar no topo, você vai assistir um filme de 2 minutos sobre New York no See Forever Theater. Quando o filme termina, a tela levanta e você terá uma surpresa… a linha do horizonte de Nova York! Tem a parte de baixo, a térrea e as sobre-lojas que também é linda e tudo moderno e arrojado, com lojas de marcas famosas. O ticket custou cerca de 30 dólares

Entrada do One World Observatory. Tudo muito prático e organizado. Quando compra o ticket pela internet já marca o horário da visita e não tem tumulto. Endereço da entrada para o One World Trade Center: 285 Fulton Street

Novo Museu do atentado. Olha o tamanho da fila.
O museu está logo em frente, a igreja que sobreviveu a queda das Torres Gêmeas, merece uma visita. Está lá linda!!! Sem contar que se pode ir andando pelo Distrito Financeiro ou fazer umas comprinhas na Century 21, loja de departamentos, com preços bem acessíveis. Afinal, estávamos em uma conexão longa em Nova York e valeu muito a pena.

Dentro do prédio e já pronta para voltar ao aeroporto. Deu tudo certo e valeu muito a pena, ficou o gostinho de quero mais. Agora em um dia ensolarado, quem sabe!! Até breve N.Y.!!!
